The use of the website nadan.org is generally possible without providing personal data. The personal data that is technically collected when using this website – as well as any other website – e.g. on the hoster’s servers, is shown in the paragraph “Server log files”.
Transmission of personal data

Server log files
Each time a user accesses a page from the www.nadan.org offer and each time a file is retrieved, the Internet service provider stores data about this process in server log files. The following data may be recorded:

This information is required in order to correctly deliver the contents of this website to you, to ensure the security of the information technology system and the provider’s technology, as well as to fulfill the obligation to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber attack.
This data is stored on the provider’s server and is only used anonymously for statistical purposes regarding the use of the website. Conclusions about individual persons and their usage behavior are not possible. The data will not be passed on to third parties, not even in extracts. The legal obligation to check this data or to have it checked by the responsible authorities remains reserved if concrete indications of illegal use become known.
E-mail newsletter
In order to receive the newsletter offered on our website, you can register via our form. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure. Here, a confirmation email is first sent to your specified email address, with a request for confirmation. The registration only becomes effective when you click on the activation link contained in the confirmation email. We use your data transmitted to us exclusively for sending the newsletter, which may contain information or offer.
We use mailchimp to send our newsletter. Your data will therefore be transmitted to mailchimp. In doing so, mailchimp is prohibited from using your data for purposes other than sending the newsletter. The mailchimp is not permitted to pass on or sell your data. You can revoke your consent to the storage of data and its use for newsletter dispatch at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
Newsletter tracking
The NADAN newsletters sent in HTML format contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is an embedded miniature graphic that enables a log file record to be created in order to conduct statistical evaluations of the success or failure of the e-mail newsletter dispatch. For example, it is possible to check whether the e-mail newsletter was delivered, whether the e-mail address still exists actively, whether and when the e-mail newsletter was opened and which links contained in the e-mail newsletter were called up.
These personal data are also not passed on to third parties. Consent to the storage and use of personal data can be revoked at any time via a corresponding link contained in each newsletter.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Profiling and automated decision making
NADAN does not use any procedures for automated decision-making and/or profiling.
Independent deletion of personal data
Personal data is only stored for the period of time required to achieve the purpose of storage. If the purpose of storage no longer applies or if a legally required storage period expires, the personal data will be deleted independently.
Your rights
German and European data protection law gives you a variety of rights with regard to your personal data. In particular, you have the right to request confirmation at any time as to whether personal data relating to you is being processed, to receive information about which personal data is being stored and processed, the purposes for which the data is being used and, if possible, the planned duration for which the personal data is being stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this duration.
