Don’t feed the fetish

Solo Exhibition 14. Nov. 2025 —  24. Jan. 2026

NADAN is pleased to host Bulgarian emerging artist Viktor Petrov’s first solo exhibition "Don't Feed the Fetish" in house. Drawing inspiration from his family background and Bulgarian folklore, Petrov explores the emotional undercurrents of domestic life through sculptures and installations composed of household objects such as dish racks, sink plugs, and ceramic cooktops. He hijacks the intimate relationships and memories we share with these utilities, transforming them into a complex visual narrative about how work, architecture, and gender shape space and construct identities. His works playfully yet directly address the household as both a place of shelter and intimacy, and a enclosement of violence and repression.

Viktor Petrov was born in 1991 in Bulgaria and currently lives in Berlin, where he completed his Master's at the University of the Arts (UdK) in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Monica Bonvicini and was awarded the UdK Art Prize in 2022.
